The Guardians of Pemberley is here – with a giveaway!
I did it! The Guardians of Pemberley, Book 3 of the Fitzwilliam Darcy, Mage series, is finally here! And there’s a giveaway at the end. 🙂
Here’s the blurb:
Escaping from France was just the beginning for Darcy. Now Pemberley itself is in danger from the Fae…
Mage Fitzwilliam Darcy is finally back at Pemberley and reunited with his beloved Elizabeth, only to find his formerly tranquil estate full of dragons and under attack by the terrifying High King of Faerie. With Napoleon’s invasion looming, Darcy must not only protect his family and his home, but also keep the truth about his time in France hidden from his wife, Elizabeth.
But Elizabeth has secrets of her own. Despite her joy over Darcy’s safe return and the birth of their daughter, her dragon, the Seer Cerridwen, warns that their future depends on Elizabeth’s dangerous Forbidden Talent. To protect England and their daughter, she must learn to wield this power, even if it means going against Darcy’s wishes. Even if it could have deadly consequences for both her and her dragon.
As they struggle to keep their secrets and work together to face a new enemy, their love and trust will be put to the ultimate test. Can they overcome their fears and save England, or will their secrets tear them apart?
If you enjoy enchanting fantasy, swoony romance, and Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, you won’t want to miss this thrilling sequel filled with magic, danger, and the timeless love story of Darcy and Elizabeth.
But there’s much more to the story! You’ll learn secrets about Lady Frederica Fitzwilliam, Darcy’s brother Jack, Lady Anne Darcy and more. All those hints in the first two books are coming home to roost!
The Guardians of Pemberley is the third book in the 4-book Fitzwilliam Darcy, Mage series. I’d intended this to be a trilogy, but the story just wouldn’t allow it. There were so many fascinating things to explore, like the King of Faerie, the dragons, and most importantly, how Darcy and Elizabeth react to parenthood and all the things they’re learning. It is a love story, after all! Book 4, Triumph at Pemberley, is already available for pre-order.
Is the ending a cliff-hanger? Only in the sense that Napoleon is still not defeated and is going to invade soon, but Darcy and Elizabeth are together, in love, and knee deep in baby dragons.
If you’d like to win an ebook copy, leave me a comment with your favorite side character. I’m tempted to add: “and why it’s Frederica,” but I’ll be good. I’ll pick a name on Oct. 23.
I hope you’ll give The Guardians of Pemberley a try! I’m very proud of this book, not least because I managed to pull it off in adverse circumstances. I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Just picked up the KU and ordered the paperback for my parents! Congratulations!!!
Yay! I love that your parents are reading it with you. That way you can talk about it! Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful series!! It’s been a horrible 12 months since I received my cancer diagnosis and it’s included three surgeries, 6 rounds of chemo and just two weeks ago my dad dying from cancer – he got his diagnosis at the same time as I did and we often were in treatments at the same time, unfortunately his cancer journey ended in death. Your books and other P&P favourites were my go to escape during and after chemo and other times during this journey when the real world seemed to much to handle. So thank you for your stories, they’ve brought me a lot of joy.
My favourite side character is Lady Amelia Morgan, her strength, resilience and courage are amazing!
Satu, it means so much to me that my books could help, even in a small way, when you’re going through such a difficult time. My husband has been going through a cancer journey this year, too, and being able to escape to a magical Pemberley kept me sane. I hope things improve for you, and I’m so sorry about your Dad. And I love Granny, too!
YEAH!!!! And yes it is Frederica! She is such the perfect counter to so much in the stories that it helps things to flow but you just have to LOVE her character and what she helps bring out in the others.
I’ll have to wait for book 4 before I read the last three! I’m afraid I can’t cope with angst at the moment but I’m hoping my health will improve! However as long as I can keep reading until the happy ending I’m sure I can cope! Many congratulations Abigail!
