The Magic of Pemberley is here! — 10 Comments

  1. I’ve been rereading Spellbound in anticipation of this coming out! What I love about magical P&P variations is that the magic is usually the source of the problems between the couple, not the solution to them. These are not simplistic abracadabra happily-ever-after books.

  2. I love magical stories when Darcy and Elizabeth have to work together causing them to realise their love for each other. All others (such as Caroline Bingley and Wickham etc) are definitely excluded or eliminated? I’m really happy to know that only Elizabeth can rescue Darcy in this book ……. and that she succeeds! Thank you.

  3. Hi! I’ve been reading a lot of Magical P&P variations because of the fantasies and the magic about, the construction of a new world but the one that Jane built or described is amazing. I like very much that we already know the regency world but now we have many new things with thousands of possibilities. Adding to that, have a Darcy with magic!!! OMG swoon!

  4. I have not read book 1 yet. I need to be able to read all 3 together. But then I will have a fantastic reading fest!
I’ve been enjoying the magic, dragon, and fantasy JAFFs, because they add new lore to a story that I know very well.

  5. The first book I ever read that was a P&P variation was your book “What would Mr. Darcy do?” I’ve been hooked ever since and love all these variations. Adding a magical touch to the story makes it even better to expand the imagination!

  6. Let’s be real there are a million pride and Prejudice variations and I have read many of them and love alot of them. so the great thing about these books where magic comes into play is they are not cookie cutter its fantasy and fantasy can go wherever you want to take it. Abigail is one of my favorite authors and I love the liberties she takes with our favorite couple. I can’t wait for more!

  7. I love putting JAFF in a fantasy context because I love seeing how the outcome can still be the same, but an object, a power, a creature is the reason for it (for an example, someone or something persuading Anne to break things off with Wentworth)
