Mr. Darcy’s Enchantment, Chapter 5 — 17 Comments

  1. Oh thank goodness for Pepper, and for Darcy thinking to ask for help. It seems like this book has Darcy and Elizabeth together from the start, working together! I love stories like this.
I can’t wait to find out what happens next so I have pre ordered it. 🙂
I have loved your other stories Abigail and they are on my re read list, my favourites being Mr Darcy’s Refuge and To Conquer Mr Darcy. 🙂

    • Thanks, Glynis! Darcy will continue his lessons in humility in the next few scenes. He has a little setback with Elizabeth owing to her having a few days to reflect on what seemed to be his betrayal in summoning Lord Matlock, but she has a much better sense of him now. I hope you enjoy the rest!

  2. Yay for Pepper! What on earth was Lord Matlock thinking?!? I get the binding spell on Anne if she can unmake things including her father but scaring the heck out of Elizabeth will not help you sir! Definitely can’t wait to see Faerie!! I wonder if Anne’s power comes from the whole trying to marry more powerful mates to other mages? Darcy is right though his marrying Anne definitely warrants concern of Anne giving birth to a child with even more power. So excited to read this!

    • Lord Matlock is thinking he’s an earl and Master of the Collegium and no one would dare argue with whatever he does – but don’t worry, Elizabeth will teach him the error of his ways. Lots yet to come in that regard!

  3. So we are off to Faerie! I can hardly wait to open up my Kindle tomorrow. Such a fun and creative tale. Thanks for these teasers! Love it!

  4. Reading your excepts are always bittersweet. I just want to keep reading! Anticipation, tempered with patience, is a now normal state when you release a new book. I don’t know how you do it, but you bring Darcy and Elizabeth alive on the page. I am just grateful that I will get to read it in its entirety tomorrow.

  5. I would like to throttle Richard (even though he never suspected his father was the one who bound Anne). And I would like to bind Lord Matlock, just so he could experience first hand what he inflicted on Anne. Both Richard and his father seem to have no concern for Elizabeth’s well-being, but only are concerned that she share with them everything she knows. I wouldn’t put it past Lord Matlock to be willing to use all manner of coercion methods to get what he wanted. Happily for me, I will know everything after tomorrow. (I’m doing a little happy dance for the early release date1)

  6. I am thoroughly enjoying reading Mr. Darcy’s Enchantment but would enjoy listening to it, too. Will it be released on Audible soon?

  7. amiga vivo en venezuela he leeido todas sus publicaciones ya traducidas quieroleer el viaje de mr, darcys y las cartas de mmr darcys y no e podido bajarlas para leerlas

  8. I’d love to give Lord Matlock a piece of my mind. The colonel is usually among my favourite secondary characters(Mr Bennet too, he’s sarcastic and lazy enough to please me😂😂😂)… but in this story he seems not to care particularly for Elizabeth’s safety and he wasn’t angry with his, ehm, very agreeable father. And… Poor Anne🥺🥺. Poor Darcy, too🥶 Anyway, I think I’m in love with this story!😍😍😍
