Audiobook giveaway for A Matter of Honor!
What could be better than a Pride & Prejudice variation set in Scotland? Hearing the audiobook version with all those luscious Scottish accents! Yes, the audiobook of A Matter of Honor is available now from Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. Narrator Elizabeth Klett did her usual fabulous job bringing Elizabeth and Darcy to life – her reading of Darcy’s letter brought tears to my eyes – but her reading of Duncan MacLaren, the Highland laird’s son, was absolutely swoon-worthy. That boy could give Darcy a run for his money as a romantic hero!
Want to hear it? I’m giving away 2 audiobook copies to US or UK listeners (sorry, that’s an Audible requirement). Leave a comment below to enter!
Here’s the blurb:
Pride & Prejudice goes to Scotland!
When Fitzwilliam Darcy, still smarting from Elizabeth Bennet’s rejection, discovers she was forced to flee her home in disgrace owing to his actions, his course is clear. He must marry her. It is a matter of honor. All he has to do is find her and propose. Surely that will be simple enough.
But Elizabeth does not want to be found, especially not by Darcy. From the moment he entered her life, he has caused disaster after disaster. Now he has followed her all the way to Scotland, foolishly certain it’s within his power to fix all her problems. But far more is at stake than Darcy knows.
Darcy’s quest takes him from backstage at Edinburgh’s Theatre Royal to the wilds of the Scottish Highlands, where mysterious Highlanders prove both friend and enemy. And now his search risks exposing long-hidden secrets that threaten his happiness and her future.
On the run and in danger, Elizabeth is forced to make impossible choices to protect those whom she loves – including Darcy. Her growing attraction to him is at war with her need for caution, and the stakes are impossibly high. Can she trust him to continue to fight for her protection when he knows the whole truth? And if he does, will it be for love… or will it be merely a matter of honor?
Oh, to be in the Highlands, with or without Mr. Darcy! Don’t forget to leave a comment to win an audiobook! Winners will be chosen on 7/20.
Edited to add: Winners are Kate B, Gayle, and Elizabeth Clairr! I’ve sent you emails.
This sounds wonderful. I have grown very fond of audio books of late. I would love to listen to this one.
I enjoyed this story so much Abigail, I know I shall adore having this on audio format. You gave us so many fascinating new characters. Yes! Including Duncan. But I so enjoyed Jasper, Elizabeth’s aunt, the mysterious doctor/grumpy ‘bad guy.’ And the couple Darcy stayed with, and their little girl. I’ll love having this story told to me by a great voice talent. Best of luck with this audio release, Abigail.

How exciting for you, Abigail! I can’t wait to hear the new audiobook.
I adore Scottish accents! I can’t wait to hear this romantic book read aloud!

I’d love to give that one a shot with an audio book!
Listened to a sample on Amazon, loved the narration. Elizabeth Klett is hands down my favorite person for giving life and individual sounds to the characters in an audiobook — especially when the story is well-told.
I can’t wait to listen!! I love Scotland, and this storyline sounds interesting. Not to mention the fact that I ❤️ Your work! Thank you.
Thank you for chance. This sounds amazing. I have not read book yet, but going to now. Thank you again.
I live in Australia – about as far from Scotland as one can be. I love the country and all stories that are set in their beautiful lands and stunning cities. Edinburgh is a favourite. I adored this story when I read it and I would expect the audio book will become a favourite too
Thanks for writing
The excerpt sounds absolutely fabulous. What could be better than P&P and a Scottish Highlander. Those are two of my favorite genres. Thank you for the giveaway.
I haven’t yet read “A Matter of Honor”, but I will once I finish reading my current tome. As I also have a large Audible Library and often listen to books in the evening or sometimes while driving, I’d appreciate adding this book in that library as well. I agree Elizabeth Klett is a fine narrator….right up there with Stevie Zimmerman and Mary Sarah. I’m looking forward to reading and/or listening to your newest book as I visited Scotland a number of years ago and look forward to reading your descriptions of it and/or hearing Elizabeth’s take on a Scottish accent.
I love all of your books, Abigail. I like that A Matter of Honor was set in Scotland. It was a great book and am now anxious to listen to the audiobook as I walk. Thank you for the giveaway. Will enjoy visualizing Scotland.
Oh, Scotland + Pride & Prejudice. What a perfect combination! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
Now that I have seen the story I am not sure I can wait for the giveaway outcome.
Audiobooks are the new frontier for my JAFF collection hobby. Scottish accents, how fun!!
